This year commemorates 50 years since the release of the Dickies 874 Work Pant, back in 1967, and we'd like to pay homage to that.

Originally released back in 1967, the 874 Pant was designed as a sturdy workwear piece, but later adopted by multiple subcultures on the prowl for affordable, yet durable, bottoms. As one of the most durable and hard wearing pair of trousers readily-available, it's no surprise they've been a staple amongst the skating community for the best part of 20 years, originally popularised by Mark 'Gonz' Gonzales. The price that you pay for Dickies work pants, considering what you get, can't be matched by others in their field such as Stan Ray and Carhartt, especially when you go looking for their vintage pieces. The quality on those pieces is second-to-none.

To celebrate the anniversary, Dickies have released a Classic Fit anniversary pair in Duck Brown, a very iconic colorway amongst workwear fanatics. In recent years their pieces have become popularly used as blanks for other brands to use, much like Champion sweatshirts, which shows the versatility of their Eisenhower jacket and Work Pants

Their line of collaborative work over the years, with the likes of Slam City, Stussy and Converse, cements their position, very firmly too, as one of the most culturally successful brands in fashion. Dickies heritage can't be matched, from humble beginnings as an overalls company to one of the world leaders in workwear and streetwear/skate staples, they continue to put out high-quality essentials for the skating community.
