From a German-based sportswear brand to a rising force within the skateboarding industry, with one of the most impressive rosters of skating talent, Adidas are taking the industry by storm.
Adidas are doing a lot of things very well, after all, they're hot on the heels of Nike and are performing really well in terms of sales. But, at times, people don't realise the immense talent behind their team of skateboarding pros and what they all bring to the table. The team consists of some of the hottest young talent: Na-Kel Smith, Tyshawn Jones and Blondey McCoy, to name a few. This is mixed with legends alike: Mark "The Gonz" Gonzales, Marc Johnson and Dennis Busenitz. If you want to see some of these guys at work, you're in luck. Last May saw the premiere of Adidas' long-awaited, 'Away Days', skate film which showcased the mix of talent in their team.
The majority of pros on the team all have their own model/collaboration of Adidas Skateboarding trainers, which, usually has a skateboarders twist; stylish, yet durable and comfortable. Just recently, in-store and online, we saw the release of the Adidas Marc Johnson Matchcourt and the Busenitz Vulca Samba; which has bold orange accents and a clean gum sole.
